I mentioned in a recent journal that I had watched Mulan again for the first time in years, and really wanted to do some Mulan & Shang fan art. And... this is what I drew for some reason. :shrug: I kind of wanted to do something romantic at first, but couldn't come up with anything that seemed in-character. Besides, I like the way Shang acted before he knew Mulan was a woman and got all dopey. :P

I referenced a ton of screencaps from Digitalius.

lol, I was just watching Mulan yesterday (albeit in German) and thinking there should be more fan art. I love that the outlines are not black, and good job with the background :D

Ah~ One of my favourite Disney movies. c: It still has it's charm - especially 'I'll make a man out of you', the scene where she climbs the pole is my favourite even now.
And I completely agree with you about Shang and the dopeyness. xD;;

In the movie, all the lines are colored, so I wanted to keep that same feel. Thanks! :) And there definitely should be more fan art. :nod:
