A long overdue sketch for a friend of mine. These characters are Molly Grue and Schmendrick the Magician, from the Rankin/Bass animated film based on Peter S. Beagle's novel, The Last Unicorn. If you have not read the book or seen the movie, go do both. NOW. SERIOUSLY. I first saw the movie when I was 4 or 5 years old, I guess, and have watched it dozens of times since then. And it's just as good every time. The novel is really magical. You can read the first few pages of it on Amazon.com. :)

Okay, enough gushing from me. I drew this tonight because I was too frustrated to work on the Otter image after finding out that I lost several hours of work on it. In retrospect, not such a bad decision, since i'm quite happy with how this came out. :heart:

I used to love watching that movie over and over again with my younger sisters. This is great, it brings back so many memories, and you've caught their likeness so well too.

This movie was made in the 70s, there had to be SOMEONE on drugs in the process of making it, haha. (:

You really captured the style of the move. Love the picture makes me want to watch this tomorrow afternoon. Great job, I adore how you stayed close to their actual design rather then putting them in your style.
